Yahoo appointed new chairman

Yahoo has appointed Maynard Webb - former eBay CEO as president, replacing Fred Amoroso.
Webb - who holds the position of interim president from April 2013 - has been eBay CEO and also a Yahoo CEO since February 2012.
Yahoo, one of the world's most successful Internet companies, has seen its revenue drop sharply in the past few years as consumers and advertisers look to their competitors, Google and Facebook.
Google chief executive Marissa Mayer is planning a long-term plan to bring in viewers and users who represent Yahoo's revenue stream.
"The leadership and direction of Maynard Webb has been an invaluable asset to our leadership since he joined 2012," Yahoo said in a statement Wednesday.

Yahoo CEO publicly apologize to users about the 'network crash'

On Yahoo's official Tumblr account, CEO Marissa Mayer posted an official apology to global users following the recent "fallout" of the Yahoo Mail service.
